  The spectator has a colour scheme of red, white, and black. The red is a common theme among current affairs websites as it can be linked to the alert “Breaking News”. The red signifies the importance of these political and newsworthy articles. The font used appears to be Times New Roman , this gives the website a sophisticated and mature look. The website seems to remain political neutral, however in the past the magazine and website have had a conservative bias. Similar to the NewStatesman the magazine covers have a cartoon drawing and one main headline, making it look more like a storybook than a current affairs magazine, this is different to the sophisticated website, suggesting there are two different audiences, one for the magazine and one for the websites.  The home page of the website has plenty of information when you first glance unlike the magazine. The NewStatesman website has a colour scheme of red, white, and black, the website seems pretty bland and plain, it seems very modern and aimed more so at an older audience. The font used is bold simple and easy to read. The NewStatesman also has a liberal bias, most of their political stories are informative but the headlines are usually harsh on the conservatives.  The main story is the first thing that you can see on the home page, but many other stories also hold the home page together. They are a very informative website and have less adds than the Big Issue, and their website is also less eye catching than others suggesting they care more about informing than publicity and attracting their audience.  The modern and mature website look is a big contrast to the magazine front covers as they often have one main image which is either a cartoon or a photoshopped image, where as the website uses actual images and has a lot of information at first glance.  NewStatesman i...

The Big Issue website is colourful, but the main colour scheme being red, white, and black. The red is key to their image, it’s the main colour in their logo and easily eye catching and is associated with their brand identity. All the categories are coloured red which draws the audience’s attention, making it easy for the audience to find what they are looking for as it stands out. The layout is simple and easy to navigate, which could be done to cater to anyone despite their knowledge or lack of knowledge of computers and the internet. They’ve made their brand accessible for many different audiences, the younger audience may prefer to use the website whereas the older audience may prefer the actual magazine.
